Mr. Esker Dell “EK” Riley of
the Lytle Community, passed away on Monday, January 4, 2010. He was 96.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the
Chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Elbert Smith
officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman
Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends prior to
the service Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Mr. Riley was born in Geneva
County on December 10, 1913 to the late Albert and Anzelli Riley. He was
raised in the Echo Community. He served in the US Army during WWII. Prior
to retirement, he owned and operated Riley Butcher Pen for many years.
Preceding him in death were three sisters, Mae Hicks, Mamie Roney and Leo
Anderson; and two brothers, Odis Riley and Louie Riley.
He is survived by his wife of
61 years, Jessie Riley; daughter, Pam Barnes of La Grange, GA; son-in-law,
Albert Barnes of Samson; two grandsons, Chad Barnes of Madison, WI and Alex
Barnes of Columbus, GA; and many nieces and nephews.
- Shirley Hutchinson has passed away. She was the
daughter of Essie Bell (Riley) Newman who was the daughter of Estelle
and Lonnie Riley. Not sure if anyone passed this along.

Hutchinson is survived by children Michael

Jacksonville, FL; Starr and Chase
Williamson, of Jacksonville, FL; Wendy Marie
and John Michael Hoover, of Auburn, GA;
Chadwick Forrest and Tara Lyn Hutchinson, of
Jefferson, GA; Brandy and Joe Lee, of
Sherrills Ford, NC; brother and
sister-in-law Robert Earl and Judy Newman;
grandchildren Michael Joseph Tortorella;
Erika Ryan and Aaron Chase Williamson;
Johnathan Dwayne, Jessica Dawn, Rylee Nicole
Hoover; Megan Christine and Abigail Rose
Hutchinson; Erica Marie, Kellie Ann, and
Ryan Hunter Lee. Several nieces and nephews
also survive. The family will receive
friends Wednesday, September 23 from 12 to 1
P.M. at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 300

From The News Herald Panama City, Florida Page 2B Monday, June 12, 2006 Mr. Richard Randolph Riley, 83, of Panama City, Fla, went to be with the
Lord on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at a local hospital. He was born in
Henry County, Ala, and had lived in Panama City since 1951. Mr. Riley
was a mechanic, working at Cook-Whitehead Ford for more than 50 years
untill his retirement in March 2005. He was a longtime member of First
Assembly of God Church of Panama City, where he had served as deacon and
usher. Mr. Riley loved freshwater fishing and speding time with his
family. He was predeceased by his parents, Tillman and Essie Riley; a
brother, Clinton Riley; and a sister, Pearl Cook. He is survived by his
wife of 62 years, Nannie Julia Riley of Panama City; his children,
Martha Greer and husband, Eddie, and David Riley and wife, Susan, all of
Panama City; two brothers, Herbert Riley and wife, Rubye, of Saraland,
Ala., and Jessie George Riley and wife, Sue of Panama City; a
sister-in-law, Melba Riley of Abbeville, Ala.; four grandchildren,

Mrs.
Johnnie Pearl Woodham Outlaw, 82, a homemaker and beloved Mother of
Ozark, died Thursday September 5, 2002, in Oakview Manor Nursing Facility. Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Saturday, September
7, 2002, from Chalkhead Baptist Church with the Reverend Tommy West
officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery, Holman Funeral
Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be at Holman Funeral Home, 995
South Union Avenue, Ozark, Alabama, 334-774-5348, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
Friday, September 6, 2002, with the family receiving friends during this
time. Otherwise, the family will be at the home of Mrs. Sue Ward. The body
will be placed in the Church one hour prior to service time on Saturday. Mrs. Outlaw was a native and life-long resident of
Dale County and a member of Chalkhead Baptist Church. Her husband, Arnice Perry Outlaw, predeceased her.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Thomas Yeomans,
Midland City and Sue and Reynolds Ward, Ozark, two sons and
daughters-in-law, Randy and Gayle Outlaw, Ozark, and Jeff and Jackie Outlaw,
Ozark, one sister, Verlon Grantham, Ozark. Thirteen grandchildren and seven
great grandchildren also survive. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers; Reggie
Yeomans, Rusty Yeomans, Andy Ward, Drew Culp, Perry Outlaw and Tyler Outlaw.

Corene Armstrong Granberry Riley,
age 78, of 3327 State Highway 134 East, Headland, died late Tuesday night,
April 23, 2002, at her home after a brief illness. Funeral services will
be held at 2:00 P. M. Friday, April 26, 2002, in the Trinity Baptist
Church with Rev. Vince Lee and Rev. Ricky L. Smith officiating and a
eulogy to be given by Carolyn Hornsby. Graveside services will follow in
the Hebron Baptist Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Locke officiating and
Holman-Headland Mortuary directing. The body will be placed in the church
one hour prior to the services. The family will receive friends from 5:00
until 7:00 P. M. Thursday at the mortuary. At other times, the family will
be at the Riley home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions
may be made to Wiregrass Hospice, Inc., P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Al.
36302 or to a favorite charity.

Brian Patrick Ward,
22, of 87 Hood Street, Cottonwood, died Sunday, April 21, 2002, near Grand
Ridge, Fla., from injuries received in a watercraft accident. The funeral
will be 2 p.m. today in the Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.
Stanley Carter officiating. Burial will be in the Hurricane United Methodist
Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing. The family
will be at the residence in Cottonwood.

William Manuel Woodham,
95, a resident of Dothan, passed away Monday, March 18, 2002, at his
residence following an extended illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete
at this time but will be announced later by Ward-Wilson Memory Hill Funeral
Home of Dothan.

Hugh Riley, age 71, of Ozark (Echo Community) died Saturday morning,
March 9, 2002, at Dale Medical Center in Ozark. Funeral services will be at
11 a.m. Monday, March 11, 2002, at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev.
Phil Craddock, Rev. Sam Williams and Rev. Earl Ledbetter officiating. Burial
will follow in Echo United Methodist Church Cemetery with Fuqua-Bankston
Funeral Home of Ozark directing.

Inez Riley Waddell,
89, of 392 Westgate Parkway, Dothan, Alabama, went to be with the Lord on
Sunday, February 24, 2002 at her home with her family after an extended
illness. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 26,
2002 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Pastor Joe Johnson officiating and Byrd
Funeral Home directing. The family will visit with friends and relatives
today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Byrd Funeral Home.
