 Fred Curtis Riley Killed in France.
Sergeant Fred Curtis Riley was killed in action at France August 26 (?) a War Department telegram to his parents, Mr. and Mrs.  J P Riley of Panama City formerly of Dothan revealed.

He had been in the campaigns in North Africa, Sicily, and was with Patton's Third Armored Division in France.

Surviving besides his parents are five sisters, Mrs. Raybon Gates of Scyrene (?), Ala., Mrs F A Carr, Mrs. R P Etheridge, Mrs. R E L*le, and Mrs D C Unger, all of Panama City, a brother, *. W. Riley of Panama City, and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M A Shreves, of Atmore, Ala.
